PROVO, Utah (ABC4 Sports) - Jesse Wade is coming home, but staying in the West Coast Conference.
The former Davis High basketball star announced on Twitter Wednesday afternoon that he is transferring after one season at Gonzaga, and will play for BYU.
"From Kaysville to France to Spokane, I’m extremely grateful for the places that my life has taken me and the people that I have met," Wade wrote on Twitter. "With that being said, I’m excited to say that i have decided to come home and further my basketball career and education at BYU! #GoCougs!"
After an outstanding senior season at Davis in 2015, in which he averaged 27 points per game, Wade committed to Gonzaga.
He served a 2-year LDS mission in France, and in his one season with the Bulldogs, Wade played sparingly, averaging 1.3 points in 18 games. He didn't play more than 18 minutes in any game.
