Realtors donate money to Moab fire victims

MOAB, Utah (News4Utah) – The Utah Association of Realtors is donating money to help the families who lost their homes in Tuesday night’s brush fire.

Representatives with the UAR are donating $4,500. $500 to each family affected.

"These families lost everything," said Randy Day, president of the Southeastern Utah Chapter of Realtors. "We wanted to provide these victims with cash immediately, so they can buy some necessities. We want to help these families get back on their feet as soon as possible."

The relief funding comes from the Utah Association of Realtors Housing Opportunity Fund, a charity designed to support homeownership and provide for housing needs in Utah. Along with providing assistance for long-term housing projects, the charity also gives aid during disasters where homes are impacted.
