ST. GEORGE (News4Utah) - Mitt Romney visited Southern Utah Monday, stopping by to greet students at Dixie State University.
Students lined up and waited for hours to meet the once Presidential hopeful. His team gathered signatures as well as encouraged volunteers to help in his campaign for US Senate.
"I'm excited to meet folks here at Dixie and of course I have deep roots in St. George. My great grandfather, actually my great great grandfather, was the architect on the St. George Tabernacle, and actually died while he was helping construct the St. George Temple," said Romney.
Romney toured the St. George Tabernacle his ancestor helped design after his visit at DSU.
