LINCOLN COUNTY, Wyo. (News4Utah) – A Utah man died after he was caught in an avalanche in Wyoming on Friday afternoon.
According to EastIdahoNews.com, Brennan Walpole, 35, was snowmobiling with a group in Salt River Range in Lincoln County, Wyoming when the avalanche was triggered.
According to the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center, Walpole was buried for an estimated eight to 10 minutes. He was eventually rescued and flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he later died. Two other riders were partially buried, but they were not injured.
Walpole lived in Spanish Fork, Utah and leaves behind a wife and three children: two daughters ages 8 and 5 and a 6-month-old son.
