Millcreek couple arrested on child abuse charges

SALT LAKE COUNTY (News4Utah) – A Millcreek couple is behind bars on suspicion of child abuse.

Unified Police Department said on October 11, a 5-year-old boy was brought to Primary Children’s Hospital "unconscious and unresponsive with numerous injuries."

The hospital staff called police about the situation.

Jordan Kay Wills, 26, and John M. Manning, 31, were taken into custody and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.

Wills is the biological mother of the child and Manning is her fiancé.

UPD said its Violence Crimes and Special Victims Units are actively investigating the case.
