HOLLADAY (News4Utah)- The old Cottonwood Mall site officially has a new name.
Developers have dubbed the site "Holladay Quarter".
“After a decade of dirt at the site, we’re excited to move forward and create a vibrant neighborhood village that will benefit the city for decades to come," said Clark Ivory, CEO of Ivory Homes.
Woodbury Corporation and Ivory Homes partnered to redevelop the 56-acre site of the former mall. Development plans were recently unanimously approved by the Holladay City Council.
To celebrate this approval, and to thank the community that helped make it possible, Woodbury Corporation and Ivory Homes are hosting a community block party on Friday, June 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
There will be live entertainment, food, raffles, and activities for kids.
As part of the celebration, the old TGI Fridays building will be demolished at 7 p.m.
