Mike James has lived in Helper his entire life and owns Val's Vintage in town. He prides himself on a very unique assortment of products.
James said, "We try to keep everything nobody else has; there's antique stuff, but I keep different things than most people."
Inside the shop is the final resting place for treasure, that at first glance, might not appear to be the gold that they really are.
James can tell you stories of how Helper used to be and bring those stories to life with the treasures he finds in his neighbors homes. Unlike some, James can find the treasure in the trash.
James explained what makes Helper different, "This isn't the big city where you get rid of stuff, everybody kept everything."
That fact is what makes Helper a gold mine for anyone looking for Antiques. Stores throughout town where you can find "old" things in relatively new condition.
