Don Hudson is father, husband and an award winning reporter.
While he has worked all over the country, he has come back to Utah and back at ABC 4 to continue his career as a television journalist.
Don has worked in New York, Texas, Nevada, Idaho, Kentucky, Nebraska and Washington, D.C. He has won Emmy Awards for his reporting and is an Emmy nominated Anchor. He was also part of two news teams that were honored with Edward R. Murrow awards - one of the most prestigious awards in journalism.
Don has covered several major stories during his career. In Texas, while his family and thousands of others evacuated the area, he covered Hurricane Brett as it made land fall. In Washington, D.C. he was one of the first people on the air after the 9-11 terrorist attack on the Pentagon. He also covered the deadly Washington D.C. sniper shootings from the day they started until the trial of one of the suspects. He also traveled to the border of Mexico and worked for five months on a special report on illegal immigration that won an Emmy Award.
Don and his wife graduated from Brigham Young University in 1988 and 1989 and have three sons. He is an avid mountain biker and you can find him on the trails in and around the Salt Lake City area. He is also involved in the community. Helping with several charitable causes and serving as a volunteer for a disabled man and as a mentor.
