Ali Monsen is a Utah native, who graduated from Brigham Young University. Ali anchored and reported for KBYU's "ElevenNews at Noon" and was nationally recognized for her work. Ali received multiple awards from The Society of Professional Journalists and played a key role in winning ElevenNews the title, "Nation's #1 College Newscast." Ali graduated in the top 5 percent of her class.
Ali has enjoyed doing special projects and freelance work throughout Utah. She is always looking for an interesting story to share--that's why Ali couldn't resist joining the "Good 4 Utah" family. She started as a Good Things Utah intern and ended up as a full-time reporter.
One huge part of Ali's life is dance. In her seven years of teaching at local studios, Ali has won several awards, including "Best Choreographer." In her spare time, Ali teaches jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and even tumbling to troubled teenagers. It's extremely fulfilling for Ali to see her students change and heal through the arts.
Ali greatest love of all is her family. She married her best friend and sweetheart in 2011 and feels so blessed to have his constant support. Ali's biggest fans are her five younger brothers and parents, who watch her on ABC 4 Utah every day.
Ali welcomes viewers' story ideas. You can share them with her at email@example.com.
