ABC NEWS - The acting director of the Transportation Security Administration has been reassigned after an internal investigation revealed security failures at dozens of the nation’s busiest airports, where undercover investigators were able to smuggle mock explosives or banned weapons through checkpoints in 95 percent of trials.
A weapon is surrendered to a Transportation Security Administration agent everyday. Since 2010, 123 guns have been found on passengers by TSA officers in Salt Lake City International Airport.
It is expected to be the busiest travel day since 2007. Millions of people will be hitting the roads and airports all over the country and it won't be any different here in Utah.
