A family's plan to celebrate a Catholic confirmation and a father’s birthday dramatically changed in West Valley City Thursday morning after a fire took over a home.
High fire danger season here in Utah has lived up to its name. A rash of house fires have affected more than 10 families. Richard Woodruff, the director of communication for the American Red Cross of Utah, says the Red Cross is well prepared to help assist families affected by events like these.
