MIDVALE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah)-Three people are recovering after a late night train collision. It happened at about 8:45 Tuesday night. A UTA train headed northbound toward downtown Salt Lake City collided with a train car in Midvale. The lone car unhinged from another train and was sitting stationary when the crash happened. Six people and the driver were in the train at the time. No one was inside the unhinged car sitting idle on the tracks. Two people were taken to Intermountain Medical Center in stable condition. The driver suffered bruises and scratches from broken glass in the collision.
A surprising resignation is prompting a lot of questions. After 29 years with the Roy Police Department, Chief Greg Whinham resigned Tuesday night.
