September 6th through 13th is Eat Local Week Utah, a state-wide celebration of the harvest, which promotes local agriculture and the preservation of Utah's agricultural heritage and brings people together in their communities over the food they eat. Through a series of activities and events around the state, Eat Local Week Utah seeks to educate people about resources for eating locally, and increases awareness around food production, transportation, and access to healthy food for all. 2014 marks the first year of a statewide Eat Local Week, expanding beyond the Wasatch Front to build the movement statewide.
