SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah)- Help for the Philippines is on it’s way from Utah. The death toll tops 5,000 people and that number is expected to rise.

Now Utahns are stepping up to lend a hand. All the proceeds from the fundraiser and raffle will go to the Philippine Improvement Group. They send volunteers to devastated areas to help in relief efforts. The typhoon tore through that already impoverished nation. Many towns still lack food, water, and power.

The number missing or dead only grows as crews sift through the rubble. A group of Utahns gathered at Piper Down Pub to raise money and send one man to the Philippines to help. To donate just visit www.philippineimprovement.org or www.reviveservicetours.com
