SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Utah) – The search is on for a serial bank robber. It's believed this person robbed 10 banks in Salt Lake County, and was recently spotted robbing a bank in Wyoming. Right now police need your help to them.

Detectives want you to take a good look at a bank robber in Wyoming. Police believe the same person also recently robbed 10 banks in Salt Lake County.

"Based on the physical description of the suspect in the Salt Lake area, the disguise used, it looks pretty similar," said Sgt. Tim Robinson, Rock Springs Police Dept. Detective Division.

The most recent surveillance photos were taken Monday at the U.S. Bank in Rock Springs. The robber wears fake glasses, fake mustache and goatee and robs each bank the same way.

"They hand the teller a note basically demanding money," said Robinson.

Unified Police have been trying to catch this person for almost two months. Back on December 6th police believe the suspect robbed the Zion's Bank on 159 W. Center St. in Midvale. On December 20th the robber supposedly hit the American First Credit Union on 5219 S. 4015 W. in Taylorsville. Three days later the U.S. Bank in Midvale on 8100 S. State Street. Then on January 10th - 3 banks, including the First Utah Bank on 70th S. State St. in Midvale.

“We want to get this individual caught and off the street, before anybody gets hurt and so we can stop this crime spree,” said Lt. Justin Hoyal, Unified Police Dept.

Police said it could be a man or a woman, either way the robber is still on the loose. Police need your help to find them.

"If you're in a retail business and you recognize having sold a fake mustache or fake goatee or fake glasses to somebody, if you recognize the clothing that they're wearing... those are things that we're all looking at, so we would definitely look at some assistance."

Police said the robber could be a white or Hispanic person, 5’7”, 20 -30 years old, with a medium build. They use a fake beard or mustache and usually wear a hat or a knit cap. The robber was last seen wearing faded denim jeans, black long sleeved shirt, a hooded vest, and an Atlanta Braves baseball cap.

If you see the robber, call Rock Springs Police at 307-352-1588 or Unified Police at 385-468-9814.
