WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Two men are still at large after three armed intruders busted into a West Valley home last week in what police are now calling a drug run.

Police say over the weekend the suspect that was knocked out by home owners died.

It was only last Wednesday Police surrounded a home on Chula Drive in West Valley for what seemed like a random home invasion. ABC 4 Utah talked to one neighbor who didn't want to talk on camera, but says she isn't surprised to learn it was drugs in the neighborhood, but is surprised it came from that particular home.

"What we believed was potentially a home invasion that was random turned out to be probably more like a drug rip,” said Sgt. Jason Hauser from the West Valley Police Department.

It was that drug rip that lead an 8-year-old boy inside to frantically call 911.

911 Call: Child: “Someone just came in our house an started to shoot people."

Lucky for the two families living inside nobody was shot and Robert Ebere, one of the Gunman was put in a choke hold until finally passing out.

"911 Call: Operator: “You need to stay on the phone with me. Mother: I Have 5 kids I don't want to see everything the guy is here my husband and my brother grabbed one guy, the other guys are gone.”

Eber has since died in the hospital. As for the home owner Javier Mendoza Trujillo, investigators found nine pounds of cocaine and lots of cash. He is now facing federal drug charges. Meanwhile, police say as the investigation continues the division of child and family services could potentially get involved.

"At this point in time there is no indication that the homeowner’s wife knew anything about what was taking place related to the drugs so the kids are back in her custody right now."

Investigators also found a bag of zip ties they believe the men were going to bind the victims with.

Again two men are still at large, if anyone has information about this case you are asked to call the West Valley Police Department at 801.963.3300
