West Jordan police led on a chase after a restaurant was robbed

West Jordan Police had to use some serious maneuvers to catch who they believe may be responsible for a number of robberies in the Salt Lake Valley.
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Utah) – West Jordan Police had to use some serious maneuvers to catch who they believe may be responsible for a number of robberies in the Salt Lake area.

This all happened after an Apollo Burger was robbed off Redwood Road.

The person police were looking for matched a description of a woman at a 7-Eleven on 7000 South and Redwood Road.

“It matched the description of our serial robber with the long hair in front, grey hoodie,” said Sgt. Joe Monson with the West Jordan Police Department. “They pulled into that parking lot. Saw a vehicle that didn't quite make sense so they ran the plate, it came back stolen.”

That’s when the woman took off in the car. Police then chased after her.

“Officers attempted to stop it using the pit maneuver on redwood road. They continued, ended up turning the vehicle around,” said Sgt. Monson.

During the chase the woman hit two other cars before being stopped by police on 104000 South and Redwood Rd.

Those families only had minor injuries.

The woman who was arrested was described as a woman in her 20s with long hair and a grey hoodie.

“We don't know if it is or isn't related to the robbery, we are all investigating that this time,” Sgt. Monson added.

She was taken to the hospital to be checked out before being booked in county jail.
