Water main break creates sinkhole in Murray

MURRAY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A broken water main pipe caused flooding and created a sinkhole in Murray on Friday.
MURRAY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A broken water main pipe caused flooding and created a sinkhole in Murray on Friday.

The break happened near 1220 E Hyland Lake Drive.

The leak caused a 6-foot wide hole in the street to appear that was approximately 4 feet deep.

No homes were flooded and no one was injured.

Crews were able to shut the water main off and were repairing the pipe by 3:00 p.m.
