Vacation Hair Care Tips

Don't let a bad hair day ruin your vacation! Go all natural and enjoy!
Utah's favorite hair stylist and beauty expert Matthew Landis joins us to share his secrets on hair care while traveling.

Landis says to consider getting your hair professionally styled right before your trip. You have options, a blow-out or a deep conditioner, that can last up to a week when the right products are used.

A few days in? Hair looking a little drab? Infuse some dry shampoo to spiff it up and give your locks some life.

While on vacation, let your hair go and be natural and skip the hassle! If you're hitting the beach this summer, use a curl enhancing mousse to let your natural hair form into that sexy, beachy look.

For humidity, keep your hair moisturized with a deep or leave-in conditioner. One product Landis loves is Mythic Oil by L'Oreal. He says this oil will keep your hair conditioned, smooth and shiny while fighting off humidity.

Don't experiment with hotel shampoo. Collect travel sized bottles and bring your favorite products with you. A fun tip: Donate these bottles to the local food bank when you get home because they often need hygiene products in addition to their food donations.

Protect your hair from the sun! Bring a fun and flirty hat or scarf to cover your fresh color. Nothing fades color fasterthan the sun!
