Two people hit in separate auto-pedestrian accidents

Two people were hit by cars in separate auto-pedestrian accidents on Friday morning.
(ABC 4 UTAH) - A 71- year old woman is in serious condition after being hit by a truck in Riverton. It happened just after 7 AM on Friday morning outside of the Just 4 Kids daycare at 132nd South and 27th West.

Police say 27th West is busy with traffic in the morning as people head to work and school.

Another person was hit by a car around the same time, but in Kearns. A 12-year old boy was not seriously hurt when he was hit by a car.

The boy was crossing the street to go to Kearns Junior High school when he was bumped by a driver who was driving slowly through the area. Police say the driver claimed the sun was in his eyes and he didn't see the student.

The student only suffered very minor injuries.
