"For over an hour we were picking up toys, games, computers and makeup. It was so fun. We got stuff for girls and boys and toiletries, socks and stuff like that too, it was really fun,” said Toys for Tots volunteer, Ron Glover.
It’s all part of the Toys for Tots Foundation providing gifts and much needed items to those less fortunate. For the Wadsworth Brothers, a local construction company located in Draper, It’s a 20 year tradition that Ron Glover a volunteer is proud to be a part of.
“What sets it a part in my opinion is the fact that it makes such an impact on so many people, because there is so many things that they buy for so many people,” said Glover.
The thousands of gifts have since been given to the Fort Douglas Country Club where soldiers will distribute them to local kids.
Glover, who has been a part of the Wadsworth Brothers Construction Toys for Tots program the last several years, says it really kicks of the spirit and joy of Christmas.
"I can’t imagine kids today in our society that are maybe not as fortunate as some others. To see those kinds of gifts for the kids, to see all those kinds of things we were picking up for them, I think the kids are going to be absolutely thrilled,” said Glover.
