WEDNESDAY-Utah (Good4Utah)- High fire danger season here in Utah has lived up to its name. A rash of house fires have affected more than 10 families. Richard Woodruff, the director of communication for the American Red Cross of Utah, says the Red Cross is well prepared to help assist families affected by events like these. Some of the things that the Red Cross helps to provide is food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and also try to help with pets. Woodruff was in studio to remind viewers that the Red Cross operates solely off of donations. A special program for this appeal has been set up online with the peer to peer fundraising site Crowdrise. People can either make a donation or even host their own fund raiser at https://www.crowdrise.com/FireHurtsRedCrossHelps.
