Taylorsville man killed after being crushed under car

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) -- Police say a man who was working underneath a car died after the vehicle unexpectedly fell on top of him Saturday.
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) -- Police say a man who was working underneath a car died after the vehicle unexpectedly fell on top of him Saturday.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the 58-year-old man was working under a Ford Taurus at 1099 W. Putters Circle when the jack holding up the vehicle slipped. Hoyal said there were no witnesses to the incident, but a neighbor rushed to the scene after hearing a loud crash. A group of people were able to lift the car from off of the man, but he passed away, according to police.

Unified Police were called to the address at about 1:23 p.m. Pending notification of family, the man's name has not been released.
