Suspect in Sandy bank robbery arrested -- after returning to the scene of the crime

SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A bank robbery that occurred early Saturday morning resulted in a quick arrest.

SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A bank robbery that occurred early Saturday morning resulted in a quick arrest.

According to Sandy Police, Michael Burke walked into the Chase Bank on 10620 South State Street in Sandy and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount and left the bank.

Officials then say once the bank was closed down and the police had been contacted, Burke attempted to reenter the bank, but was not granted access.

Sgt. John Arnold of Sandy Police told ABC 4 that when officers arrived, Burke was still on scene. He was apprehended and arrested without incident.
