Standard-Examiner building evacuated after fire

OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) –Fire crews responded to a structure fire at 332 Standard Way at the Standard-Examiner Building Monday afternoon.

OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) –Fire crews responded to a structure fire at 332 Standard Way at the Standard-Examiner building Monday afternoon.

Twenty-five firefighters from Ogden, Roy and Northview fire departments were called out around 12 p.m. When they arrived they found heavy smoke coming form the building. 

All employees self-evacuated before the fire department arrived. 

The fire was out around 12:30 p.m. 

Ogden fire officials say one patient was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation. The patient is being further evaluated at a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Damage is estimated at $15,000.
