South Ogden robbery suspects arrested in Idaho

SOUTH OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Three suspects of multiple robberies throughout Utah and Idaho within the past two months are in custody.

SOUTH OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Three suspects of multiple robberies throughout Utah and Idaho within the past two months are in custody. According to South Ogden Police, Mitchel Christensen, 23, of Buhl Idaho, Dana Merrick, 38, and a 17-year-old male accomplice from the Twin Falls area were booked in the Twin Falls County Jail for an outstanding warrant on Saturday.

The police did not release the identity of the 17-year-old suspect becuase he is a juvenile.

Christensen allegedly confessed to the robberies in Blackfoot, Idaho, a Walgreens Pharmacy in South Ogden and the most recent June 10 robbery in Draper. Christensen is believed to have shown a weapon during the South Ogden Walgreens robbery, where police say he stole an undisclosed amout of OxyContin.

Merrick and the 17 year old suspect are being held on suspicion of felony robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Christensen was arrested on an unrelated warrant out of Blaine County, Idaho.

The Weber County Attorney's Office is drafting arrest warrants for all three suspects for the South Ogden robbery.
