A movie called "Someday Melissa" is about a young girl's struggle with an eating disorder that eventually takes her life.

Screenings are coming to the Salt Lake Library on March 22nd from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and then again on April 5th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Provo Library.  At each screening there will be Q & A after the movie.  The events are free to the public, but donations are appreciated and all proceeds will go to the Project HEAL Scholarship Fund.

Project HEAL's Scholarship Program is its trademark service.  It funds inpatient, residential and outpatient treatment for eating disorder sufferers who want to recover but do not have the financial meals to do so.   Eating disorders have one of the highest mortality rates of all mental illnesses, and require intense treatment which can cost upwards of $30,000 per month, yet insurance companies often refuse to cover these costs and most people cannot afford to pay out of pocket.
