Small earthquake felt west of Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) -- The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed what many in the Salt Lake Valley and beyond felt Saturday night: a small earthquake occurred in Tooele County.
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) -- The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed what many in the Salt Lake Valley and beyond felt Saturday night: a small earthquake occurred in Tooele County.

According to the USGS website, a 3.2 quake hit about 5 miles northeast of Tooele. Dispatchers for both Tooele and Salt Lake counties said there were a few reports from scared callers but no damage that they knew of Saturday night.

Multiple people called in to ABC 4 Utah from Magna, West Valley City, West Jordan and Kearns reporting that they could feel the tremors at about 9:20 p.m.

According to USGS, another 3.0 tremor was reported near Baker, Nevada at about the same time.
