Scholarship memorializes domestic violence victim Lori Hacking

The Lori Kay Soares Hacking Memorial Scholarship Fund helps women in their junior year of the University of Utah's business school. Hacking was a graduate of the school who was murdered by her husband 2004.
The Lori Kay Soares Hacking Memorial Scholarship Fund helps women in their junior year of the University of Utah's business school. Hacking was a graduate of the school who was killed by her husband 2004.

Two groups, Men of Justice and Compassion, and Ladies of Justice and Compassion, are holding a fundraiser the evening of July 19 to benefit the fund.

The fund was started by Hacking's parents the same year she died.
