The Daily Herald reports 93-year-olds Monroe and Shirley Paxman were married Dec. 18, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple - seven years after their first date at a high school dance.
Asked about the key to their longevity and relationship, Shirley Paxman replied, "You turn of the TV and get out of the house."
Nearly every day the ardent walkers attend a lecture, museum or performing arts program.
Monroe Paxman was a judge and founder of the Rocky Mountain Juvenile Court Institute. His wife received a master's degree from Brigham Young University in child development and family relations, and was a Provo School Board member.
