HERRIMAN, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - The search is on Tuesday to find someone who's vandalizing car windows in Herriman. At least 10 windows have been shot out in the last 10 days. Police need your help to find out who's doing it.

"It probably hit right in the center," said Dane Talbot, brother's car window was shot out.

"Right here in this hole," said Wes Wardle, car window was shot out.

"As soon as I shut the door, this side window smashed out," said Tom Lenz, car window was shot out.

Tuesday some people in Herriman are picking up the pieces. Monday night someone vandalized their car windows.

"It appears that we have someone who's driving around or walking around shooting out windows," said Det. Ken Hansen, Unified Police Dept.

At least four people tell Reporter Brian Carlson their windows were shot near 50th West and 140th South. One person believes his window was smashed somewhere between 11:30 p.m. and Midnight. Police said it's repeat of last weekend when six more car windows were shot in Rose Creek.

"If anyone in the Rose Creek area has any video surveillance the last weekend, and they catch anything on there, like a car, I'd appreciate it if they'd contact the Unified Police Dept.," said Hansen.

Right now police don't know who's doing it. They're hoping someone reading this report can help them find who did. As for neighbors whose windows were shot, they hope the vandals get caught.

"It's just frustrating," said Lenz.

"It's like surprising," said Talbot.

"You sometimes think living in a nicer area, things like this don't happen," said Wardle.

Again police believe the window shootings took place in Herriman Monday night and last weekend. If you live in the area and have any home surveillance cameras, you may want to check them. You could give police the tip they need to catch the vandals.
