PROVO, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Provo police have released new surveillance pictures of a person of interest in an arson investigation.

The photos were taken at a Provo gas station Tuesday morning. They are asking you to take a good look and let them know if you recognize him.

Provo police and fire are looking for a man they say he bought a can of gas at a 7-Eleven not even two blocks away from Tuesday's fire on Center Street near I-215.

Authorities say he got the gas and moments later they battled a fire that was set at this UDOT owned property which is now torn down.

The k9 Cindy with the fire marshal’s office was able to hit on multiple spots of accelerants.

Authorities are still investigating the second fire set on 900 South 170 East.

“We haven't tied the two together yet, but we just want to talk to this man.. If you have any information, please call us,” said Deputy Chief Tom Augustus with Provo Fire and Rescue.

Officials say there have been 13 fires set to date that they can link to the Provo arsonist.

Each fire is similar in nature set with an accelerant all within moments of battling a structure fire.
