Ogden Pioneer Days and Miss Rodeo Utah 2014

Pioneer Day is this week! Learn about one of the oldest-—and biggest—events in the state.
OGDEN, Utah (Good 4 Utah) - Brandy Mortensen from Springville is Miss Rodeo Utah 2014.

Miss Rodeo Utah symbolizes the young women of Utah who want to promote the sport of rodeo that stands for family, hard work, values, and commitment. Brandy will represent Utah at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant and travels throughout the state appearing at rodeos and other western-oriented events.

The Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo held each year over the week of July 24, is one of the biggest statehood celebrations in Utah, boasts more than 30,000 annual participants, and has been repeatedly named the Best Rodeo in the Wilderness Circuit—made up of Utah, Idaho and Nevada.

Ogden's rodeo also has been nominated numerous times for the best rodeo of its size in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. This means Ogden Pioneer Days is one of the 20 best in a field of more than 700 rodeos in the country.

Ogden Pioneer Days is celebrated at the historic Ogden Pioneer Stadium. Tickets start at $8 for adults and $5 for children.
