New PSA aims to educate public about puppy mills

Temma Martin with Best Friends Animal Society talks about how you can take a stand against the puppy mill industry.
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Good 4 Utah) - Chances are that "doggie in the window" comes from a puppy millessentially a farm factorythat turns out pets for profit. Most of these animals live a life devoid of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and human attention while more than 9,000 pets are killed in shelters across the country.

If you're looking for a healthy and loving pet check with a local shelter or rescue group.  No matter what type of pet you're looking for, a shelter or rescue organization is the place to go.  There are young, purebred, old, house-trained, mixed-breed, adorable, well-mannered, puppies, and kittens.
