SANDY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Police are investigating a home invasion - with a scary twist.
The Sandy Police Department tells Good 4 Utah that two masked men knocked on an apartment door identifying themselves as police.
When the tenant opened the door the men barged in.
The victim told police the men were wearing wind jackets that said "Police." One man was armed with a hand gun. The other with an assault rifle that was described as an M16.
The suspects beat the man. They demanded he tell them were certain items were in the apartment. During the invasion the victim was able get to the door and get away.
Upon a search of his apartment the suspects only got away with few items including a phone.
