Major delays getting into Salt Lake from Tooele due to construction

If you’re headed to Salt Lake City from Tooele give yourself an extra hour or more. UDOT is working on pothole repairs on the Eastbound lanes on I-80 at the State Route 201 junction.
TOOELE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - We all hate pot holes and what they do to our cars. On Thursday, the Utah Department of Transportation expects considerable traffic delays on Interstate 80 near state route 201 while they repair the road.
 
If you’re headed to Salt Lake City from Tooele give yourself an extra hour or more. UDOT is working on pothole repairs on the Eastbound lanes on I-80 at the State Route 201 junction. 
 
The work is being done between mile markers 101-102. The highway will be reduced to one lane while crews work.
 
The construction will continue until June 22ndThe week of June 16 the road will need to be cured before driven on. You can expect to travel on one lane until then. 
 
With construction already on SR 201, drivers using I-80 from Tooele County are encouraged to still use I-80 but again please plan for extra time on the road.
 
Speeds have been lowered in the area to 55 miles per hour.
