PROVO, Utah (ABC 4 Utah)- After more than 11 hours of deliberation a jury has found Dr. Martin MacNeill Guilty of murder and obstruction of justice in the 2007 death of his wife.

The Judge kept his bail at one million dollars and set sentencing for January 7th, 2014 at 1pm.

Dr. MacNeill Faces 15 years to life in prison.

Michele MacNeill's body was found in a bathtub in 2007 at the couple's Pleasant Grove home about a week after having plastic surgery.

Prosecutors claimed her husband gave her a lethal dose of medicine so he could continue another affair. They say MacNeill hounded his wife to get a facelift and got the plastic surgeon to prescribe a "potent cocktail" of pills for her recovery.

In Friday's closing arguments, the defense said there's no way the jury can find MacNeill guilty of murder beyond a reasonable doubt because medical examiners could not confirm the cause of death.
The state disagreed and told the jury in rebuttal, “The fact that they don't find homicide is a limitation of their role and a limitation of their role and a limitation of their science. It means nothing when deciding culpability."
