SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Utah) – A Logan woman’s big day is nearly ruined when her wedding dress is stolen right out of her car.

Erin Garner was set to marry her fiancé Joshua Dimond Thursday morning in the Salt Lake Temple, but around 6:30 a.m. when Dimond went to the car, parked in the Shilo Inn parking lot, he couldn’t find the dress. It wasn’t until after he walked around the car and saw that a window was smashed out that he had realized what had happened. When he went back up to the hotel room, Garner didn’t believe that her dress had been stolen.

Garner said, “I was like ‘ha-ha that's funny’ and he said ‘no really it's gone. What do you want to do?’"

Her quick thinking friends and family called all their friends and ABC 4 for help.

We called in some favors and before 9 a.m. the owner of Nikki’s Bridal at the Valley Fair Mall said she would help. Ali Iraheta said, "I can only imagine what she's going through and anything I just hope one of the dresses are to her satisfaction because it's a big deal.”

We grabbed as many dresses that we thought possibly could work and headed to the temple. By the time we got there Erin Garner, now Erin Dimond and her husband Joshua had been sealed and luckily she had a dress to take pictures in thanks to Candlelight Dresses in Sandy.

Erin Garner Dimond said, "Friends went to a bridal shop and borrowed a dress and when I got done in the temple I got to pick a dress."

After pictures it was off to the ring ceremony. Walking down the aisle in another borrowed wedding dress, this one from Nikki’s Bridal, nothing could bring this bride down. Surrounded by her friends and family, and with the help of complete strangers, Erin and Joshua Dimond had the wedding of their dreams.

"Thankfully we had all of our friends,” said Joshua Dimond. “Everyone was so willing to help us we're extremely grateful for all the help they've given us."

Erin Dimond said, "We feel so loved. We feel so loved and taken care of."
