Local communities announce fireworks restrictions

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - As Utah Governor Gary Herbert implemented personal fireworks restrictions for all unincorporated areas of the state, most communities also announce restrictions.
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - As Utah Governor Gary Herbert implemented personal fireworks restrictions for all unincorporated areas of the state, most communities also announce restrictions.

Below is a list of cities with links and maps to their restrictions:

Apple Valley - Ordinance Legal Fireworks may be discharged between July 2 through July 7 and July 21 through July 26 between the house of 11:00 a.m. amd 11:00 p.m, On the Smithsonian Fire Department grounds, located at 1777 North Meadowlark Drive, Apple Valley, Utah 84737.

Bountiful - Bountiful City has banned fireworks east of Bountiful Boulevard and north of 400 North Street, east of 900 East Street.

Cache Valley - Fireworks may not be used in any unincorporated areas.

Carbon County -  All fireworks restricted.

Cedar City - All fireworks restricted.

Cedar Fort - All fireworks restricted.

Coalville -  All fireworks restricted.

Davis County - All fireworks restricted.

Diamond Valley -  All fireworks restricted.

Duchesne City - All fireworks restricted.

Eagle Mountain -  For map of restricted areas, click here.

Elk Ridge - Banned for the holidays of July 4th and July 24th. This includes the days prior and after as allowed by state law. Any questions should be directed to Chief Seth Waite @ 801-369-8429 or the city offices @ 891-423-2300.

Enterprise - The city requests that members of the community do not set off fireworks this year.

Ephraim - All fireworks restricted.

Garden City - All fireworks restricted.

Genola - Fireworks restricted in:

1) All areas south of the Highway 6 within the Genola Town limits.
2) All areas east of 800 east to 1200 north.
3. All areas east of Hillside Drive and continuing on 1600 north to Main Street.
4) All areas east of Lake Road within the boundaries of Genola Town limits.

Residents may set off fireworks in Genola Town Park.

Green River - Fireworks restricted in all areas, with the exception of the shooting park on July 4th, before or after the City Fireworks program.

Gunnison - Only class C fireworks allowed. Fireworks must be discharged 20 feet from any residence, dwelling or structure, outside of city limits.

Holladay - Only class C fireworks allowed. Aerial fireworks restricted within the entire city limits. Fireworks restricted east of Wasatch Boulevard.

Hyde Park – Fireworks restricted in all areas East of 400 East from the South border to the North border of the city.

Hyrum - Restrictions through all areas East of 1300 East.

Layton -  For map of restricted areas, click here.

Lewiston - All areas West of 2400 West and East of 800 East are restricted.

Logan – All areas North of 400 North and East of 1700 East, South of 400 North and East of 1400 East.

Marysvale -  All fireworks restricted.

Milford -  Restrictions include all aerial fireworks that shoot greater than 10 feet are restricted. Fireworks are to be shot off on private property in areas that are at least 10 feet in diameter on mineral soil, concrete, or asphalt.

Millville – All areas East of 550 East restricted.

Moab -  Fireworks restricted within 150 feet of Mill Creek and Pack Creek.

Morgan - All fireworks restricted.

Nephi - Fireworks restricted east of I-15 and any city owned property outside of city limits.

Nibley – All areas East of Hollow Road restricted.

North Logan – All areas East of 1600 East from the South border to the North border of the city are restricted.

Orem -  No current restrictions.

Panguitch - All fireworks restricted.

Paradise - All areas East of 100 East restricted.

Paragonah - All fireworks restricted.

Park City - Fireworks restricted on canyon and trail areas around resorts, several subdivisions.

Payson - Fireworks restricted in most areas. For exceptions, click here.

Pine Valley -  All fireworks restricted.

Pleasant Grove -  For fireworks restrictions, click here.

Pleasant View - All fireworks restricted.

Providence - All areas East of 400 East and All areas South of Canyon Road and 600 South restricted.

Richmond - Fireworks restricted east of 300 East/250 East or the equivalent: east of Cherry Creek Heights PUD.

River Heights - All areas East of 1000 East restricted.

Roosevelt - All fireworks restricted.

Santaquin - All fireworks restricted.

Smithfield - All areas East of 700 East from the Southern border of the city to Center Street, East of 470 East from Center Street to Canyon Road, East of 300 East from 200 North to the Northern border of the City are restricted.

South Ogden - Fireworks restricted east of Harrison Blvd., within 300 feet of the South Ogden Nature Center and within 300 feet of Burch Creek for more details, click here.

South Weber -  Fireworks restricted east of Highway 89. No aerial fireworks permitted on the Layton/South Weber border.

Spanish Fork - Fireworks prohibited south of Spanish Fork River from the west end of the Spanish Oaks Golf Course eastwardly to the city limits. For more details click here.

Syracuse -  No restrictions.

Taylorsville - For map of restricted areas, click here.

Utah County -  Fireworks restricted in all unincorporated areas of Utah County.

Washington City - Fireworks restricted. Exceptions include clearly marked areas at the Washington Ball Field Complex and at the East entrance of Pine View Park.

Weber County - For map of restricted areas, click here.

Wellsville - All areas West of 200 West from Northern city boundary to 900 South and  all areas South of 900 South to the Eastern city boundary are restricted.
