Layton man accused of killing his wife arrested

LAYTON, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Joseph Castillo, wanted for allegedly killing estranged wife in Layton, has been arrested, Layton Police say.
LAYTON, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Joseph Castillo, wanted for allegedly killing estranged wife in Layton, has been arrested, Layton Police say.

Around 11:50 a.m., Joe Joseph Castillo was taken into custody by law enforcement in Lake Point, Utah for the murder of his wife, Kaye Lynn Spackman.

After a sighting of a vehicle and individual matching the suspect description, Castillo was contacted at a Del Taco restaurant in Lake Point Utah by law enforcement officers there.

He was taken to Layton and is currently in police custody pending being booked into Davis County jail.

The victim, Spackman, worked at Hill Air Force Base as the 75th Air Base Wing and Installation Director of Information of Protection. 

"Members of Team Hill are saddened by the loss of one our own," said Col. Kathryn L. Kolbe, 75th Air Base Wing and installation commander.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends and co-workers. They should know we are grateful for everything she did for the Air Force and to support the Team Hill mission. She was a valued member of our team, and she will be dearly missed," said Kolbe.
