She'll be the fourth judge when "Dancing with the Stars" returns for its 19th season next month.
The 26-year-old pro will join Carrie Anne Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Toniolo.
She’s served as a guest judge in previous seasons, but felt now was the time to make it more permanent.
“Dancing with the Stars has always been a part of my family. That's where it all began for me. So, it just kind of made sense. And you know, when I think about what Derek and I did this summer on tour, reconnecting with the fans. it just felt like the right time,” said Hough.
As for judging her brother, Derek Hough says it's not about him. It’s about the celebrity and what they can do to improve each week. Hough has won the mirror ball trophy twice on the show.
