OREM, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Hundreds of people turned out for a funeral service Thursday for fallen U.S. Border Patrol agent, Nicholas Ivie at the UCCU center at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Friends, family and colleagues spoke of him as always positive, kind and caring. A fellow U.S. Border Patrol agent said that nobody ever had anything bad to say about Nick. He was described as a quiet man, and wanted to help people whenever he could.

He was a volunteer EMT for the Spanish Fork Fire Department, and was recently called as a member of his local LDS bishopric in Arizona.

Nicholas grew up in Provo as the youngest of 4 boys and 1 girl.

One speaker said that his greatest accomplishment in life was marrying his wife, Christy. His daughters, Raigan DeAnn and Presley Delna said he was "the greatest father you can imagine."

The Ivie family said they've found comfort and peace in their faith, and believe they will see Nick again after this life.

Ivie's body was later interred at a cemetery in Spanish Fork.
