Honeyville convenience store robbed, searching for suspect

Box Elder County police are searching for the man who robbed a convenience store in Honeyville Friday night.
Box Elder County police are searching for the man who robbed a convenience store in Honeyville Friday night.

Sheriff Chief Deputy Kevin Potter said the robbery happened at Lainie's Country Store on 6690 North Highway 38. The man approached the clerk with a pistol and demanded an unreported amount of money. The clerk complied and the man fled the scene in a blue passenger car.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with shaggy brown hair, clean shaven, and wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. Police say he could be anywhere from 25 to 30 years of age.

There were no reports of any injury to the cashier.
