Instead, state prosecutors and her defense team agreed on an August 4th hearing. That’s where a judge will hear oral arguments from both sides.
Grunwald is charged with the aggravated murder of Utah County Sergeant, Cory Wride and, the attempted aggravated murder of Deputy Greg Sherwood.
Grunwald's attorneys want to move the case to West Jordan, which they say is the jurisdiction best suited for an unbiased jury.
The move would also allow a different county to provide security instead of the Utah County Sheriff's Office.
“We are just a little bit worried about the potential influence that there presence would have on a jury and so we are seeking another venue,” said Dean Zabriskie, Defense Attorney.
The judge will then make the decision to keep the case in Utah County or move it to another jurisdiction.
