The Extra Life gaming marathon is raising money for kids at Primary Children’s Medical Center.
"Anyone can participate, there are a couple of other teams in Utah that are doing it, then there are also teams in New York, Texas, where ever," said organizer, Steven Givens.
They played classics from the 1980's and today’s favorites for 25 ½ hours straight.
"I look at it as, if it's something that we love doing why not make it something that contributes to others than just ourselves," said participant, Kaelen Gustafson.
That cause is to be a hero for children and it hits close to home for Givens.
"I had a nephew that basically lived at Primary Children's. He was born at 26 weeks, he was there for several months,” said Givens.
The group raised just over $1500.00 this year
