Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Miami Marlins second baseman Rafael Furcal left Saturday's game against the New York Mets with a cramped left hamstring.

Furcal came up limping after trying to run out a double-play grounder in the third inning.

He already seemed to pull up when he landed awkwardly on the base. Assistant trainer Mike Kozak attended to him, and Furcal was replaced by Jeff Baker at second base when the fourth inning started.

The team later announced the injury and said he is day to day.

Furcal was appearing in just his ninth game this season, as he was activated from the 60-day disabled list recently after suffering a hamstring injury in spring training.

He missed all of last season while with the St. Louis Cardinals recovering from Tommy John surgery.
