SPANISH FORK, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Police are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide in Spanish Fork.

Officers were called to the home after Joshua Boren, a police officer for Lindon,  failed to show up for work at 10:00 p.m Thursday.  When they entered the home, they found a woman in one bedroom with a gunshot wound and four other people, including Joshua, dead in another room.

The people who have died are Joshua Boren, 34, Kelly Boren, 32, Joshua "Jaden" Boren, 7, Halen Boren, 5 and 55-year-old Marie King.  Marie is the mother of Kelly.  Investigators say they suspect Joshua killed his family before turning the gun on himself.

Investigators say the Borens have been having marital problems for the past several months.  They did not find a suicide note at the residence.

The Medical Examiner will perform autopsies on the bodies.
