Tim DeChristoper is finishing out the final months of a two-year sentence at a facility run by a private company in Salt Lake City and looking to take a day job at the First Unitarian Church.
His lawyer Pat Shea says DeChristopher could qualify for home supervision at an apartment by February, and possibly end his sentence three months early by May with good behavior.
DeChristopher was convicted of bidding on leases without paying for them in an effort to keep the parcels undeveloped.
He's served time at federal prisons in California and Colorado and arrived in Salt Lake City on a train from Denver.
