Crews locate helicopter missing from Grand County

The Grand County Sheriff's Office confirmed Monday afternoon that search crews have located a helicopter that was missing since Sunday.

Missing helicopter was found in Emery County with both occupants deceased. Recovery in progress.

The pilot and passenger have been identified as Robin Venuti and Albert Rubio.




GRAND COUNTY (ABC 4 Utah) - Crews are currently searching for a helicopter that went missing Sunday. The two people on board took off near Greenriver on Sunday just after 11 a.m. to look for Elk Antler sheds. The helicopter was reported overdue at 8 p.m. that night.

The Department of Public Safety along with Grand County Sheriff's Office are using a helicopter to look for the missing aircraft. Crews are using an infra-red camera as well as cell phone pinging technology but have not had any success at this time.
