The exhibit sheds light on the value of women by featuring the works of three Latter-day Saint artists: Lee Bennion, Brian Kershisnik and Kathy Peterson. The artist were chosen because their work honors women and highlights the joy in the small moments of life. It also celebrates the values of young women women in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In addition to paintings, the exhibit features interactive elements for children.
Museum curator Laura Hurtado says the exhibit will appeal to individuals, families and members of organized Church groups, such as the Relief Society, Young Women and Primary.
The exhibit will run for seven months at the Church History Museum, 45 North West Temple in Salt Lake City. It is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
